The Laurel Packinghouse
We had our January 26, 2019 wedding at the Laurel and loved it. Shelley was very easy to work with. We loved the natural beauty of the venue and that there was already lights up. The custodians set up our chairs. It was really nice to have the venue for the whole day, especially for the price. The only thing I could suggest would be that for an added price have the venue people available for a flip over, otherwise it was a perfect day.

Britannia Mine Museum
Can't say enough good things about this place. From their carefully constructed website to the tour/movie at the end. Tour was quick but fun, the movie was really creative and captivating. Loved the panning for treasure activity (great for kids). Book plenty of time for this. We were here 2.5 hours and you can easily spend up to 3 hours here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Buy tickets in advance and bring ear plugs if you have sensitive ears (some loud noises in the tour and movie).

Really enjoyed this great little town. Lots to see, great restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops. The fort is a must see. Very educational and an important part of history in British Columbia.

Good afternoon tea. Very nice old heritage building. Friendly, but a little bit slow service. The actual afternoon tea is as so often is not very much and more like some snacks. We really liked the atmosphere, so definitely worth going.

Bellevue Underground Mine
A really neat place to take kids. Great history lesson from the tour guide. Very knowledgeable staff. A great look into the history of what Crowsnest Pass used to be like. Tour guide was very helpful with my little 2 year old guy and very accommodating. He had a blast. Just a reminder to dress warmer, underground is a bit cold.

The Laurel Packinghouse
Great venue! My friends had their wedding here. It was a lovely barn vibe and a stunning set up. My first time at a wedding sitting in a bench format that actually worked. Nice set up for a bar and also the dance floor too! The museum is open in the day so you can learn a little bit of history.

Bar U Ranch National Historic Site
The Bar U Ranch National Historic Site should be a place on everyone’s bucket list. There is so much to learn here about Alberta’s early ranching history. The old buildings are all open and available for you to walk through. Some have lots of signage, whereas others are lacking signage. It would be neat to see more signage and have some more information on some of the people who lived and worked on the ranch over the years. A discussion of the E. P. Ranch would also probably be a valuable inclusion.Overall, the Bar U Ranch is a great place to stop and spend a few hours to learn about Alberta’s ranching history.

Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site
The fort was not open, but the view is just spectacular. It has a 360 view of the entire area in aulac, very peaceful and calm. The evening sunset view is just awesome. They have maintained it so good, that you can walk through the entire fort and and the greenery around it. Air is really fresh to breath in and there is an opportunity to set up campfire and set up a camping area too.I would definitely revisit this place again. Just for the feel and the fresh air.
